The UQPWC Club President Helen Allen has set the bar even higher and is now a world powerlifting champion. Helen competed (3/10/18) in the 2018 International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) World Masters Powerlifting Championships which was held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Helen (pictured in the green and gold uniform) represented Australia under the banner of the new IPF affiliate, Australian Powerlifting Union (APU). Her impressive results were gold in squat (120 kg), gold in deadlift (162.5kg) and gold overall. Helen was supported by coach and Vice President of USA Powerlifting, Johnny Graham and members of the USA powerlifting team.
